mgg is human

just a short thought after reading mgg's attorney post and the ensuing maelstrom from loyal mgg readers.

mgg is human. and we love him, warts and all.

but i can't blame readers, too. i feel that as a reader, i sometimes put this halo on authors i like, on authors whose noble views i espouse (but not necessarily practice). its like reading the better part of me. and when the better part reveals a misstep, not even a serious flaw, i could feel betrayed, at worse. or disillusioned.

that's the beauty of the blogosphere. new authors everywhere. all too human. just like the rest of us. that's why we keep on reading in the first place!

I like my flawed heros as much as I don't like self-righteousness. It makes them human and makes me empathise more.
I remember crying over Mary Magdalene in the movie The Passion of the Christ. She could easily be me.

Yea, he's only human. He's not perfect. People are just too clean to realize that. hehe

im soo loving the post on situationships. havent been in one in a very long while. sometimes i feel thats all i could offer considering current cricumstances in my life. sometimes i find the idea of an actual formal relationship too cramped for my style (im really monogamous but by this i mean i still would like to do stuff outside and away from the person im with)

as for migs...
the maelstrom is part of the territory since he opened his life to public scrutiny by even putting it out there in the first place.
but at the same time---its his blog, he pays for it, kung ayaw niyo sa nababasa niyo, umalis kayo riyan, wag niyo basahin. nobody's holding a gun to your head to read

i kinda know him personally and since i dont know him close enough, i will refrain from judging him. like i said in my own comment in the bitterness and lies post---i just hope he's factored in the ramifications of his actions not really on the people commenting---but the people who are actually involved in the story.

cc, there is a price people pay for these situations.
and i think its incumbent on you guys who know him better and who are closer to him---to remind him of those ramifications. more often than not---ramifications include a broken heart , a damaged ego, a somewhat shattered life somewhere. question is---will he allow it to be his?

readers can be ignored. after all---they are only as good as what is posted on the blog.
close friends have better chances of approximating reality (on the presumption he is upfront with you guys and you see him even in his natural element---with all the things he cant quite capture verbally).

this being the case---it is less about judging with friends---because instead of judging---friends should actually be watching each other's back.
after all---doesnt platonic love include make sure we stick to our best interest and develop our fullest potential?

Oh Please! The guy was Hot and He did him. End of Story. Why all of the sudden have gays become the moral right?!?! We all KNOW that each and everyone of us have done something that we aren't proud of. Let it go.

Migs is awesome for putting his life out there.
