Mushroom Burger

I just had a quick lunch at Mushroom Burger in Tagaytay. I have always liked the burger here. Fits my figure-conscious diet. They have a pure mushroom sandwich, the burger actually has ground beef. But I feel so sad that the joint has remained looking like the carinderia. Sure, they have the stainless steel kitchen that could be viewed from the outside (transparency!). But everything else shouts turo-turo!
Sayang. I would think that the growing health consciousness should have been a great opportunity to re-position and expand. Are they selling?

I may be wrong but I think their non-expansion can be attributed to them wanting to preserve the novelty of their store. But that's just me. :)

thought about that. reminded me of a great coffee place in davao - blu grey that serves durian coffee (dont go puking now... it tastes great). always wondered why they aint in manila just yet. we thought exactly the way you did. if they opened in manila, what's the novelty of visiting davao for durian coffee? but then again, maintaining a hole-in-the-wall kind? kinda turns-off some potential customers!
thanks for comment!

Maybe they don't have the money to expand. Maybe they just don't want to expand,, period. Mushroom Burger used to have a free-standing stall in old Greenbelt 1 (where the two-storey carpark beside McDonald's is located) but it closed even before that whole area was leveled to make way for the carpark and Greenbelt 3. Well, at least they've expanded their parking area in their Tagaytay branch.

i hope they consider selling. i'd love to buy the brand and expand it! i'd think it's a cash cow for them. i think you are right: they really just dont want to expand. period. but methinks, in business, if you dont expand, you die, eventually.

Oh I know blugre! I was born and raised in davao and studied there for grade school and college. I even had a very short stint working (10 days!) as a dining assistant for blugre one summer. Whenever I go home, I spend most of my time @blugre, thanks to their free wifi! (90% of the wifi hotspots there are free!)

Franchise? I wonder if their problem is in the supply of mushrooms.

Teeeka, baka ibang klaseng mushrooms ang tinitira nila sa likod! Bangag pala ang mga poohtah, ahahaha.
