Mushrooms at the window sill

I have this small wooden block on my window sill. I used it as a stopper to keep my window open. With the constant rain, it has become damp fertile ground for mushroom spores. Amazing what the winds carry even at 9 floors up, in highly polluted MMla!
Dead wood supports new life. Never dismiss things as dead! Hmmm. Monday morning inertia...

don't mind me,,,but two mushrooms in a log and you add your current situation...not to mention that youre in 9th floor,,,as the saying cloud nine...and what triggers the mushrooms to grow was the fact that its been raining...

wonderful analysis, yajnat! hehehe

sad thought - and when it stops raining... what happens to the two beautiful mushrooms? :(

well u can water it though it will die eventually...and a new mushroom will grow...as long as there is moisture in it...yet i dont want to condone such situation in ur lyf,,,if given that the current mushroom represents enigma...but then again its all ur choice...

happiness at the expense of others is not happiness at all...

then again dont mind the crazy me...:)

you know what CC, i have d same experience with what d winds cary with it. B4, eveytime i pass by streets, i see those bushy plants with yellow colored flowers which i fondly call "buttercup". I planned to cut a stalk/branch of it to plant in my garden. Perhaps in d back of my mind, i prayed that when i wake up one day, i will have d "buttercup" growing in my pots.

Lo and behold, it did grow in my pot, without even me lifting a finger! I was soooooo happy! He answered my prayers. :) (also thnks to Sis Wind & Bro. Maya or Sis. Butterfly for bringing the seeds to my garden)And i live at a 3rd floor rooftop w/my doves! Amazing!

BTW, those two mushrooms look good together! hmmmnnn... bet they're not d edible type, poisonous perhaps.. (hehehe)

yajnat, thanks for still reading despite your contrary opinion! another way of looking at it - mushrooms will keep on growing and dying as long as log is fertile. keep the log dry and voila! no more mushrooms. i just don't know how to dry up! or i dont want to???

mcvie, that is so 70's... or even earlier!
