a change in tone and color
when depressed, nothing like snapping up some apparel to brighten one's day. and im putting my bets on color this summer - bright, audacious, saturated color. i picked this up from menstyle.com to prove a point. of course you dont combine colors in one outfit. use whites, khakis, greys and blacks (at night) to make your color stand out.

I like to shop as well when I am depressed.
People do that when they are depressed because it gives them a sense of control.

It also helps to look good when you feel bad inside... pangit na nga nararamdaman mo, papayag ka ba na pangit din sa labas mo? :-) The compliments I get when I dress up when I am depressed somehow lift my mood, even just for a short while :-) One needs those breaks to get by...
You must have Converse shoes. They are once again hip and you can now design and put your personality on them. Wear them with a slim cut suit to match your now slim body (i guess you must be working out hard, too, trying to get back control of your life as what dr magsasaka mentioned) and you will be so cool... anyway, just to cheer you up.
